The Spit Up & Sippy Cups mentoring philosophy is based on THREE main things: Connection. Collaboration. Empowerment.
Connection: Finding the right coach can be a challenge. It is SO important to me that you feel comfortable sharing your story with me.
Collaboration: I want to work WITH you to find the best course of action. Often, you DO know what’s best for you and I want to help facilitate that.
Empowerment: I want you to leave each session feeling even better than you did before.
Why Choose Lisa?
Out of all the options out there – why choose Lisa at Spit Up & Sippy Cups?
I know what it’s like to be simultaneously full of love and empty of energy at the same time.
I know what it’s like to wonder “Is that all there is?”
I know what it’s like to want to take a break, but feeling so much guilt about walking away.
I have an Honours BA in Psychology + over 10 years of being in therapy, counselling and life coaching.
Not only do I bring my personal experiences and learnings to our sessions but also tried and true coaching techniques that have been proven time and time again to help set and reach your goals.
I’ve done the work. I have the tools, and now I want to share them with you.
How Spit Up & Sippy Cups came to be…
I started this space in 2017 after a pretty tough time with my first kiddo. After experiencing and overcoming PPD, I had an intense desire to connect with other moms in a meaningful way. Not only did I feel like there was a big gap in emotional care for moms after having a baby, I also felt like there was a HUGE misconception online about what it meant to be a mom. So often, my reality did not reflect what I saw on Social Media. I felt overwhelmed, A LOT. I felt judged, A LOT. I knew I couldn’t be alone.
I decided to start a space where I could show what life with kids is REALLY like all while meeting and connecting with other like-minded women. I also knew, there was something MORE that I needed, outside of being a mom. I have goals, dreams and aspirations outside of my kids.
The name Spit Up & Sippy Cups literally came to me as I was sitting at my kitchen table. I had a whole lot of spit up on my shirt and was staring at a sippy cup next to my empty wine glass.
I started out on Instagram, sharing regularly on Stories. Everything from poop blowouts to messy floors, tired eyes and ZERO make-up. I started to post about how I was actually feeling and how hard raising kids actually is.
I started getting a ton of DMs from other moms telling me they were going through the same thing and that what I was posting made them laugh and also feel less alone.
I absolutely LOVED this. However, through the last year, I realized I wanted to take things a step further. I really wanted to WORK with moms who are going through their own journey, like I did (and still am).
So now, I coach women in a variety of ways. My main goal is to provide them with a safe space to talk about these things while also helping them develop the tools to navigate their own journey.
